Undead soldiers in Abbadon graveyard disappear

I completed the quest "End of Undead" by bringing the hourglass in the well to the Champion in the Undead Graveyard. Since doing that, all of the undead soldiers have disappeared from the area.

Now I'm trying to do the task "Summoning Charon" and I need more glowing skulls than I already have, but since all of the undead soldiers are gone I can't get any more. I posted this question in the "Stuck somewhere" forum and found out that the soldiers definitely should still be there, so I am posting here in the support forum hoping for some additional input.

I have already tried uninstalling the game and re-downloading from johnwizard.com and re-installing, but the soldiers are still gone. Please help - I am so close to the end of the game and I really don't want to start over!
